Airtel Launches Karbonn A1 Indian, A41 Power to Take on Jio Phone



India telecom operator Bharti Airtel today announced two new "effectively" low-cost 4G Smartphone with Karbonn mobiles. Airtel and Vodafone followed Jio Phone. Airtel launched the two 4G-Smartphone at an intitaive ' Mera Pehla Smartphone ' partner with Karbonn. The two smartphone are Karbonn A1 Indian and Karbonn A41 power. Earlier, Vodafone tied up with Micromax and launched Bharat-2 Ultra and BSNL also launche Bharat-1 4G smartphone with Micromax .


Announcing the new phones, Raj Pudipeddi, Director,
Consumer Business and CMO, Bharti Airtel said, "We are
 delighted to deepen our partnership with Karbonn to
fulfill the smartphone aspirations of India. We saw very
 strong demand for our first offer under the 'Mera Pehla
Smartphone' initiative,which validates the broad appeal
of this innovative proposition. We are also delighted to
 have Amazon on board as a partner in this exciting
 journey and look forward to working closely with them."
Pardeep Jain, MD, Karbonn Mobiles said, "We are
delighted to partner with Airtel. The immense response
that we got for us our offer with Airtel helped us add 70
percent new feature phone users to our existing portfolio.'
The Karbonn A1 Indian and A41 Power will be available at
 an effective price of Rs. 1,799 and Rs. 1,849 respectively.
 Karbonn says that the Karbonn A1 Indian and A41 Power
 come with a MRP of Rs. 4,390 and Rs. 4,290 respectively.

T&C for Cashback scheme:

1. The ‘My First Smartphone’ offer (“Offer”) is being provided by Bharti Airtel Limited (“Airtel”) to any new/existing pre-paid subscriber who wishes to avail of Airtel’s mobility services on CELKON SMART 4G Smartphone /Karbonn A40 Smartphone.

2. Subscriber is eligible for total Cashback of Rs. 1500 on this device, which will be split over a period of 36 months from the date of purchase of the CELKON SMART 4G Smartphone/ Karbonn A40 Smartphone device (“Device”).

3. The cashback will be credited to the Subscriber’s Airtel Payment Bank account.

4. Subscriber shall receive in Airtel Payments Bank account Rs. 1500 in two tranches : First Tranche: Rs. 500 will be given at the end of first 18 months; and the Second Tranche: Rs. 1000 will be given at the end of 36 months

5. Customer does not need to return the Device to avail the cashback.

6. The first Airtel Mobile SIM card inserted in the Device is deemed associated with the offer, the cashback will be given on the Airtel Payments Bank account on this mobile number subject to the following:

  • For cashback of Rs. 500 in first 18 months:
    • Subscriber must recharge the Airtel Mobile number associated with the Offer atleast once every month for 18 months; AND
    • A recharge of minimum Rs. 3000 over the period of preceding 18 months should be done on the Device.

  • For cashback of Rs. 1000 at the end of 36 months:
    • Subscriber must recharge the Airtel Mobile number associated with the offer atleast once every month for 18 months; AND
    • A recharge of minimum Rs. 3000 over the period of preceding 18 months should be done on the Device.

Karbonn A1 Indian and A41 Power specifications

Both the new Karbonn smartphones come with identical specifications such as 4-inch WVGA display,run on
Android 7.0 Nougat, pack 1GB of RAM, 8GB inbuilt
storage, dual-SIM support, and 4G with VoLTE support.
Talking about the differences, the Karbonn A1 Indian is
powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor and packs a
1500mAh battery while the Karbonn A41 Power is
powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor and packs
2300mAh battery. The Karbonn A1 Indian sports 3.2
megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. The Karbonn A41 Power sports a 2-megapixel rear and a
0.3-megapixel front camera.
